Logistics informatization plays an important role and has practical significance inimproving service quality and economic benefit of logistics distribution, in which theproblems of tracking and path optimization are the keys of planning and decision-making ingrain logistics distribution and are the hot issues in current research. This paper makes furtherstudies for tracking and routing planning of grain logistics distribution vehicles based on theanalysis of the related literatures, according to the actual conditions of the grain logistics, andcombined with various information technologies such as geographic information system, global positing system and so on.The paper firstly introduces the basic concept, working principles, influencing factorsand basic flow, describes the general situations of geographic information system, globalpositing system, wireless communication technology and their applications on grain logisticsdistribution. Secondly, the paper studies carefully the two important problems in grainlogistics distribution--tracking and routing planning. The problem of tracking is divided intostate information tracking and path tracking. The state information tracking includes graincondition tracking in transit, vehicle tracking and traffic situation tracking. The key of pathtracking is implementation of map matching. The paper fully considers the topologicalrelation of road network and the influence of historical information on map matching, introduces similarity function to measure the similarity degree between two line segments, puts forward a kind of improved synthesis algorithm combined with the similarity function oflocus curve and the topological relation of road network. The experiment shows thisalgorithm is beneficial to improve precision and efficiency of map matching. Based onconcluding the traditional routing planning, the paper summarizes the characteristics ofrouting planning in grain logistics and the constraint conditions needed to be satisfied, studieson the problem of multiple grain depots in logistics distribution, puts forward the thought of“virtual distribution center” to solve the vehicle scheduling problem with more distributioncenters, establishes a kind of vehicle scheduling model in logistics distribution of multiplegrain depots, realizes the algorithm of this model combined with ant colony algorithm model.Based on the experiment, this model can rationally arrange distribution route and optimizevehicle scheduling on the premise of satisfying the constraint conditions, and has scientificand advancement. Thirdly, the paper designs out the general framework of grain logistics distribution system, designs the functions of various functions module and the databasesinvolved by the system in detail, completes the grain logistics distribution prototype systembased on GIS. This system not only provides the GIS basic functions, but also realizes theorder processing of grain distribution, the management of logistics information, the real-timetracking of vehicle in transit and the vehicle routing planning by means of human-computerinteraction. Finally, the paper summarizes the main research results, points the existingproblems, and forecasts the future research works.
