| China's national geoparks have achieved remarkable results since 2000, while some problems emerged, and one of the most severe problems is about the geopark boundary. Problems such as the fuzzy boundaries, unclearly classified protected areas, and the conflict between geopark and other planning have inevitably affected the sustainable development of Geoparks. To end this, Ministry of Land and Resources issued a "National Geopark Planning Revision Technical Requirements" in November 2008, requires the country's national geoparks to realign their boundaries and modify the existing geopark master plans. This thesis is based on the boundary demarcation and planning revision of Hexigten Geopark and three others, replying with the "Revision Requirements":First of all, deeply interprets the relevant provisions and the planning contents of the "Revision Requirements", and thus explain the definition and related terminology to the demarcation; And then introduces the entire workflows about applying "3S" demarcation technologies, including data collection, field survey, map rendering and display results, each stage in which the tools and methods used are also summarized; The third part compiles some common problems about boundary demarcation and the corresponding principles and solutions based on the China Hexigten Global Geopark, Alxa Desert Global Geopark and Aershan National Geopark in Inner Mongolia;Fourth part proposes some specific demarcation methods for the water landscapes. This paper focuses on the boundary planning of the National Geopark. The title is small, but related to the geoheritage protection, promoting the local economy, and coordination with other planning. The paper adopts the "3S" technologies as new tools to complete the preliminary investigation of geopark demarcation and late drawing, also have very broad application prospects. The paper also summarizes some universal principles and methods for the demarcation of the Geopark, which plays a certain reference for other parks. |
