With the flourishing development of Internet, WebGIS promotes the broad application of GIS, but it also has many problems, such as not being able to realize interoperation of heterogeneous spatial data or cross-platform operation, having difficulties in development and debugging, and sharing GIS data and service and so on. Due to the requirement of spatial information sharing and development of information technology, spatial information web service has been generated by the web service and GIS's combination. Spatial information web service platform is an important part of the digital city framework and is also a new generation of WebGIS and spatial information sharing model. And then it has some advantages, for example, reducing cost of repeated construction, impoving efficiency of service-oriented sharing, supporting the integration of heterogeneous GIS platform, lowering requirement of bandwidth and advancing the greater system security level.Based on summarizing and analyzing status of spatial information web services sharing platform at home and abroad, the dissertation has analyzed the correlation theory of its, and mainly studied the key techniques which has constructed it, such as construction of the private UDDI, design of the third-party category framework and construction of spatial information web service. The researched contents and achievements have been done as following:1.Introduce and analyze the correlation theory and key technology included those as follow, ASP.NET Web Service and its key technologies, Architecture of spatial information Web services and OGC geographic information service framwork;2. Analysis of spatial information web service based on ArcGIS Server, especially design and development of geoprocessing services, study and practice of integration of XML data source. And research of using the tools of ArcToolbox to design and develop geoprocessing services gets the value of application in GIS web services; 3.Considering that the private UDDI sustains category framework of spatial information web services uncompletely and that spatial information web service of ISO and OGC is incomplete, the author designs task-oriented category framework of spatial information web service, so the author researchs principle and structure about service registry of the private UDDI of Microsoft corportition, and expands internal type of the private UDDI by introducing the sots of the spatial information web service, realizes issuance and inquiry of the spatial information web service.4.Combined with practical data and related theories, the author designs and develops spatial information web service platform successfully.
