Research And Realization Of The Web GIS Based On Java

With the research of next-generation computer network and popularity of computer networks, the world is entering new era of a network of Internet-centric computer age.WebGIS is essential in development and application of geographic information systems. that people can easily through the Web check the required spatial information and WebGIS make geographic information systems can be more commercial, WebGIS is effective way to the "socialization" of GIS and the core platform of "Digital Earth" "Digital City". Therefore, there are great significance of research the distributed geographic information interoperability and architecture and implementation of WebGIS.Java as an object-oriented development language is used broadly today. Development of Web-based application systems by Java has strong advantages, so using Java to develop the WebGIS application system has lots of advantages, and now several chief GIS software company research and develops the products based on Java.This paper introduces its current development status and development trend of WebGIS and related technologies, WebGIS architecture and tectonic models, and client and server architecture of Java by development of WebGIS and the deepening of study and discussion of the key technologies of WebGIS. Finally, according to the described above theory, the author develop WebGIS application system- The Map management for Construction Project system by Java with ArcGIS Serve, the main function is to register personnel to manage registration information and payment information of map and cartographer to manage mapping information and query a mapped map of (including operation of zooming, panning and attribute information of map), and summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the development system.By studying this task, I know more knowledge about the theory of WebGIS, and some experience of development of WebGIS using Java.
