Flat tea, as one of excellent varieties in green tea, has been playing an important role in tea products. With the demand of tea increasing year by year, it has become a huge industry in tea cultivation and processing. The process of flat tea is very complicated which is consisted by fixing, carding, flattening, shaping, drying and so on. Fixing and carding are the important working procedures in tea processing. So resolving the current problems in fixation-shaping machine is important.The fixation-shaping machine is a new tea processing machine which can make fixation and shaping merged. It has the advantages of simple technology, convenient operation and good effect of fried tea. However, when the pan is moving by traditional slider-crank mechanism, it makes large vibration, and the efficiency of tea carding needs to improve. Based on the above, we apply non-circular gear Linkage to push on the pan in this paper. Based on analyzing the work principle of non-circular gear, we devised non-circular gear as drive organization. The pitch curve equations of driving and driven non-circular gear are resolved according to the movement of auto fixation-shaping machine. Based on analyzing tea stress and movement of multi-pot, the tea carding effect was investigated using the non-circular gear linkage. And the tea carding effect is compared between slider-crank mechanism and non-circular gear linkage. It can be concluded that non-circular gear linkage is better than slider-crank mechanism in automatic fixation-shaping machine, and the vibration of non-circular gear linkage is less than slider-crank mechanism.The tooth profile of non-circular gear needs to be designed using MATLAB program. Then the 3D modeling of driving and driven non-circular gears is completed by 3D modeling software. According to using ADAMS software to analyze simulating kinematics of the non-circular gear, it can be concluded that the experiment date of virtual machine is the same as the theory.On the basis of investigating the current automatic fixation-shaping machine, a new fixation-shaping machine—three-section balanceable, reciprocating automatic fixation-shaping machine is invented. Concerning the work theory of this machine, a utility model patent and a patent for invention have already applied. (200910152413.0;200920195803.1).
