Gear double-sided meshing detection is mainly used in detecting gear total radial composite deviation Fi(?)and single radial composite deviationfi. During the measuring process, master gears are considered as standard components to detect radial composite deviations of measured gears. In fact, the radial composite deviations of master gears do exist and affect the accuracy of measurement results by the first harmonic. Therefore, the measurement results for radial composite deviations of high-precision master gears are very important for the development of gear double-sided meshing detection.High-precision master gears are grade 3 or above grade 3 involute cylindrical gears refered to GB/T 10095.1-2008 and mainly used to measure the radial composite deviations of general-precision master gears, check gear measuring instrument and tooth profile of the standard worm. It requires double-sided gear rolling to test its working performance. However, it should be noted that the measurement of its own radial composite deviations is difficult, due to the higher-precision master gears can't be found. Moreover, the large rotation error, low sensitivity, low resolution and large measuring force appear in the traditional double-sided gear rolling instrument, which can't finish the detection of high-precision master gears.In order to achieve the detection of radial composite deviation of high-precision master gears and improve the measurement accuracy, the traditional measuring methods of radial composite deviation are analyzed in this paper. The whole combination measuring method is put forward based on the "three-wheel" measuring method. Under the "three-wheel" measuring method and whole combination measuring method, respectively, the detection accuracy of radial composite deviations of high-precision master gears is confirmed by the experiment.The measuring instrument for radial composite deviations of high-precision gears is put up, the main error source is analyzed and compensated by grinding and debugging spare parts in this paper. The object-oriented program design is used to complete the measuring system realize the measurement data collection, analyze and draw error curve and so on. The measuring force is standardized to be convenient to select appropriate measurement force during the measuring process of different gears. The measuring instrument of Agilent 35670A is used to detect vibration errors produced by DC gear motor. Experimental results indicate that when the revolving speed of DC gear motor is among 0.4 r/min~0.75 r/min, the influence of measuring results is least, which can be ignorable. The measuring accuracy of this measuring equipment is checked by experimental method in this paper. And results show that the measuring instrument can be used to measure radial composite deviations of grade 1 master gears(GB/T 10095.1-2008).
