Gears pitch deviation is one of the important parameters to evaluate gears transmission performance,and which is one of the necessary measuring items of gears precision in gears accuracy rating standard.Measuring methods of gears pitch deviation include the absolute measuring method and the relative measuring method.At present,the absolute measuring method about ordinary gears is adopted at home and abroad.However,with the increasing of modulus and diameter of measured gears,the dividing error of the absolute measuring method is also increasing,which cause its accuracy of measuring decline.Currently,the measuring of the pitch deviation of large gears generally utilize the relative measuring method.Based on the research of absolute measurement and relative measurement,the qualitative analysis of each measurement method is studied in detail,but it has not been carried out the quantitative analysis on the same measuring equipment.Therefore,it is extremely significant to carry out the measuring accuracy comparative study between two different measuring methods.Based on the CNC gear measuring center,the paper upgraded the current experimental platform and achieved the relative measuring of gear pitch deviation,and carried out the contrastive experiment study using two different measuring methods of the involute spur gear pitch.The main research contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,the paper analyzes the principle of two different measuring methods and have formulated error formulas of two different measuring methods based on the CNC gear measuring center.According to the current structure of CNC gear measuring center,the improvement scheme of the experimental platform is confirmed.Secondly,according to the improvement scheme of the experimental platform,the transformation of mechanical and electrical systems is carried out respectively.The linearity and noise of the probe system have been tested,the tested results prove that the parameters improved of the mechanical and electrical systems can meet the contrastive experimental requirements.In addition,based on Visual C++ 6.0 the sampling tracks and error formulas of measuring software have been modified,which can accomplish the measurement of two different measuring methods simultaneously and the collection and processing of the data.Finally,based on the same CNC gear measuring center,author tested the same standard gear applied two different measuring methods on the same mechanical and electrical precision for may times and obtained the uncertainty of measurements of single pitch error and the total cumulative pitch error deviation of measurement uncertainty,and compared the measuring results quantitatively.
