Nowadays, with the increases of public's environmental protection consciousness and government investment to the wastewater treatment projection, wastewater treatment projection is flourished, but at the same time, it's offgas does harm to human body and environment. The development of wastewater treatment projection in small-community makes this problems even more serious. This study is brought forward in this position. This study aims at the windtight, ventilated sequencing batch reactor (SBR), to find out the main stage that the odorous gases are generated and emitted from wastewater treatment facilities. The test for SBR indicated that, the emission of gaseous sulfide happens in the anaerobic stage and initial stage of aeration. The main odors emitted at the anaerobic stage is hydrogen sulfide (H2S), its concentration becomes increase at its initial stage, after about one hour, the concentration reaches to its peak, and then becomes decrease. The concentration of hydrogen sulfide emitted from the facility at the initial stage of aeration is larger than that emitted at the anaerobic stage, and there is dimethyl sulfide (DMS) emitted from the aeration stage too. Sulfide generation potential test indicates that, the generation quantity of hydrogen sulfide and DMS follows the rule of increase firstly, and then decrease. The present time of DMS's peak is later about one hour than that of H2S. Sulfide emission test indicates that, the relationship between hydrogen sulfide emission concentration and Oxide Reduced Potential (ORP) is linear and between hydrogen sulfide emission concentration and COD biodegrade rate is parabola. An anaerobic time of 2 to 2.5 hours is suggested, combined with the result of hydrogen sulfide emission and phosphate release. The kinetics of anaerobic gases emission is studied, using Monod model and relationship between emission concentration and COD concentration, and some suggestions to deepen study are put forward.
