Reflecting And Modifying Modernization With Theories Of Sustainable Development

There are many different comprehension for modernization in academic circle, generally, give priority to industrialization, emphasize the modernization of science and economy. This paper investigated theories and modes of modernization in world scope, as well as reviewed the realization and practice of modernization in china's early era. Pointing out that china is a country of background, earning and overtake?determines that china had emulated west from the beginning of the process of modernization ,but traditional industrialization of western not only brought out flourishing of economy but also produced disadvantage which difficult to overcome by its inhere mode of development. More over, to make clear that east and west have vast difference under the background of sustainable development. So china's modernization can not entirely follow the track of west. The paper analyzes the process of modernization in west as well as in china, based on the theory of sustainable development. Profoundly reflecting some focal points, such as mistakes of classic theory of modernization and the root of the crisis of modernity, etc. Traditional mode of development is hard to keep on and to find theories of modernization correspond to sustainable development on value and target is the springboard of this paper. In a word, this paper try to quest for the object of development and the system of estimate of china's modernization, bsed on the supervise of sustainable development.
