| Abstract This thesis is composed of four parts, which are as follows: Part I: Review We looked back of development histoiy of the dendrimers and reviewed briefly their progress in the different development periods. Their application, properties and prospect were discussed, in addition to puffing forward the facing difficulty in the present and need for improvement in our studies in future. Part II: Studies on the Synthesis and Fluorescence Properties of Polyamide Dendrimers with Peripheral Small Molecules In this part PAMAM (O.5-5G) dendrimers were synthesized according to the literature, then modified their peripheral units with small molecule that can抰 emit fluorescence. Characterized their structure by LR. We studied their fluorescence properties. The results showed that the fluorescence properties changed with the different structures of the dendrimers. Part III: Studies on the Synthesis and Fluorescence Properties of Polyaniide Dendrimers with Peripheral Small Molecule Fluorophores In this part we synthesized a series of dendrimers modified with peripheral fluorophores based on the former section. Characterized their structure by JR. 慔NMR and UV. Studied the effect of the component, generation, solvent and concentration on the fluorescence properties of the products. The results showed that the fluorescence properties of these dendrimers changed with the structure of PAMAM as well as the small molecule fluorophores. Part IV: Studies on the Synthesis and Fluorescence Properties of Hyper- branched Aromatic-Aliphatic Polyamides In this part we synthesized a new kind of Hyper-branched Aromatic-Aliphatic Polyamides. We studied the best synthesis condition. Characterized their structure by ER, UV, and HNMR. Studied the effect of the component, solvent and temperature on the fluorescence properties of these polyamides, the results showed that the fluorescence properties of these polyamides changed with the ratio of the substrate and other factors. 4...
