Water decanter, one of critical equipment disposing polluted water in SBR, was created recently. With large processing capacity, simple structure and good decanting effectiveness, it is being used wider and wider. But because of specific decanting requirement, its machine structure is big currently, with pool system stiffness. Its traditional linear control can't satisfy process requirements. So it is necessary to have a research on its machine structure optimization and system intelligent control. For these reasons, the author decide to have a deep research on the equipment.In the thesis, on the base of collecting many documents about water decanter, have a deep theory research on decanting mechanics, machine structure, motion regulation, some experiments are taken to verify the done research. The author have done following works:1. Put up a new decanting conception by the research on decanting mechanics and structure of all kinds of water decanter.2. Design a new rotary type water decanter on the base of theory research. Using finite-element method, have its structure optimized. Its structure stability is solved by Ansys.3. Applying fluid knowledge, have a deep research on decanting mechanics and set up dynamics equation of decanting process, which is computed by MATLAB. Have a deep research on how to get decanting effectiveness, according to the rule of water layer in SBR. Explore the structure of crest of weir and set up dynamics equation of pusher.4. For the first time, locate the crest of weir by impulse numberof rotor , which is compared with numeric value of flow sensor to control crest height . In the thesis, design a new type intelligent control system.5. On the basic of theory research, design a new type pilot system of water decanter to test fore research. It will set up a theory and experiment foundation for the practical application of the technology.
