This method has been proved in the test and used in the shaft excavation.The concept of longhole deck blasting in the shaft excavation has been presented and proved.On the basis of analyzing the method of fracture controlled blasting which uses the small - diameter joint - cutting cartridge, a trial to use the method of joint -cutting cartridge blasting for the water coupled medium in the large - diameter blastholes was made. Through an approach to the mechanism, the parameters were determined and proved in the test as well as the parameters related to the method of joint - cutting cartridge blasting for the water coupled medium in the large -diameter blastholes were obtained.At last, the achievement in this study concerned has been used to guide the engineering design and has come into a good use in the practice.
