| With the thriving development of tourism, its environmental problems become increasing serious. How to solve these problems is very urgent. Tourism planning plays a guided role in the development of tourism. A scientific and reasonable planning often can solve the problems of tourism and its environment effectively, can integrate the protection of environment into the development of tourism perfectly. However, the existing theories of tourism planning have some defects. In order to promote the theories of tourism planning, it needs deriving mankind civilization achievements that have existed from different discipline theories. This study integrates landscape ecology principles and modern tourism theories by introducing the cognitive methods of landscape ecology to natural environment system and its thoughts to solve problem, and enriches the existed theories of tourism planning. Under the guidance of integrated theories, the paper applies GIS and RS technology to a case study of Qingyunshan scenic resort in Yongtai County by using the concise patch-corridor-matrix language (PCM model) of landscape ecology and the maturer index system of landscape spatial pattern. The paper focuses on the issueof tourism and its environment, highlights the two planning aims-to developtourism and to protect ecological environment. To attain these goals, the paper analyzes the present landscape patterns, evaluates the landscape suitability, discriminates the ecological security patterns in landscape, assesses the landscape sensitivity, and also analyzes the superiority and inferiority of Qingyunshan scenic resort. Based on these synthetic analyses, the paper puts forward an overall planning scheme for Qingyunshan scenic resort, and then, probes into the subject from whole to part step by step, stressesthree-scale planning and design -the whole patterns in macrocosm, the functionaldistricts in mid-scale, and the unit design in microcosm. At last, the paper has compared the planning scheme with the previous patterns to examine its superiority or inferiority, also its superior or inferior degrees. The results show that the integrated theories of landscape ecology and tourism have some of novelty in theory and feasibility in practice on landscape ecological planning & design of tourist resorts. They can satisfy the demands of sustainable development of tourist resorts, bring forth the balance of ecology and the harmony of human-earth system, and achieve the destinations that advocated in the landscape ecological planning & design of tourist resorts. |
