Based on abundant domestic and foreign data, the development and the researching status in quo are discussed on the sustainable development, the sustainable forestry, the forest ecological benefits and the diggings forestry. Pingdingshan coal mine taken the researching object and under the synthesis index system of the sustainable, simulating dynamic time sequence models of SO2 , NOX, floating dust in the air, Hg contend Cl contend water rigidity in the water, and the forestry areas, the green areas per person forestry volume etc. The ability of forestry sustainable development and main forest ecological benefits are quantitatively analyzed. During the researching, the original data are collected on the investigating, experiencing and consulting files. Then the ability of forestry sustainable development of Pingdingshan coal mine forestry. First, every environmental index is evaluated. Afterward, integrating all environmental index, DSD of Pingdingshan coal mine forestry is evaluated by the main factor analysis and the hierarchy process, and the final results are alike: the level of DSD of Pingdingshan coal mine forestry is weak sustainable development. On the forest ecological benefits, the especial situation thought, we mainly research how the forestry improves the atmosphere quality, example: absorbing CO2 releasing O2, absorbing SO2, purifying NOX and absorbing dirt. The result is: Pingdingshan diggings forestry improves the atmosphere quality largely, and the forest ecological benefits are bigger than the one of wood self. The researching methods are very systemic and scientific and the results are very accurate and applied. At the end, several measures are put forward on how approving the sustainable development and the ecological benefits: enlarging the area of forest, ensuring the biology variety and strengthening the managing, etc.
