Study On Profiling Plunge Shaving-Cutter On Plunge Shaving-Machine And Plunge Shaving With Profiled Cutter

Plunge shaving is one of the most effective technologies for gear finishing, but it is difficult to profile plunge shaving-cutter. Analyze profile plunge shaving cutter on plunge shaving machine and plunge shaving with profiled cutter from the view of mesh theory in this dissertation. The mathematical model of dressing gear profiles plunge shaving-cutter and profiled cutter shaves gears are set up. The engaging equations of the twi-mesh and tooth surface equations are deduced. Analyze interface condition of the two contact surfaces, secondary contact phenomenon, existence of meshing boundary line and undercut boundary line. The method of how to calculate the profile quantity in tooth profile and tooth trace is proposed. At last, the experiments of profiling plunge shaving-cutter on plunge shaving machine and plunge shaving with profiled cutters are conducted, and the correctness of the theory is verified.
