In the small and medium module gear production,shaping broaching hobbing,and other related process are normally employed in rough machining.While honing,grinding,shaving and finishing hobbing are mainly employed in finishing.In all kinds of small and medium module gear finishing manufacture,shaving is one of the most popular process in level 6-7 small module gear productions,due to its advantages such as low cycle-time,low unit cost,high accuracy of the tooth profile.This project aims to make a deep study on the parametric design of shaving cutter.It starts from the principle of shaving to introduce the basic motion form of cutting and the generating trajectory between the shaving cutter and the work gear.And then,it makes a study on some parameter design such as serration,meshing angle and other basic parameters.It builds a software program for shaving cutter parametric design.The project makes a detailed analysis from the selection of the platform development tool and development methods to the function modules and the overall structure.Finally,it gets a complete software platform with the interfaces such as user login,homepage,general data,resharpening diagram,shaving cutter groove,shaving cutter data,profile and helix correction,drawing for approval.It makes a simple analysis via the actual application.
