| Nephrolepis Cordifolia (L.) is a member belonging to the Nephr-olepis Family.Nephrolep is Cordifolia (L.) grows on hillside,riverside,etc. It is adaptable and abundant in resources. It distributes in the various provinces of Southwest and South-China. It's a traditional folk medi-cine,It's root,stalk,leaves and the whole grass can be used as medicins. It has the function of clearing heat,favouring urine ,dispe-rsing poisoning, eliminating swell,killing insect and biological ac-tivity .It can be used to treat icteros, gonorrhea, dysentery, herria , urelcosis, masthe lcosis, scald, cutting.Modern medical experiments show that the water-extract from th-e tuber of Nephrolepis cordifolia possess significant blood glucose lowering activity. It opens up broad prospects for this kind of medi-cine for having antidiabetic activity. Now, It has been reported that β-sitosterol, daucosteorl, dustani-n, fern-9(11)-ene,sequoyitol, tuberosic acid, diploptene, β-sitosteryl palmitate, cyclolaudenol , ect. have been isolated from the plant.To better exploit and make better use of this plant,we have ma-de studies of the constituents of the tuber of Nephrolepis Cordifol-ia(L.). From the tuber of this plant,eleven compounds were isolat-ed through solvent extract and chromalography. The structure of sev-en compounds were identified by means of chemical and spectrosc-opic analysis as:β-sitosterol, daucosteorl, β-sitosterone-1,22-diene, palmitic monoglycerol ester , 4',7-dihydroxy flavonol-3-β-0-glcside, astragalin, quercitrim. the other four compounds are to be identified. The five compounds including β-sitosterone-1,22-diene, palmitic monoglycerol ester , 4',7-dihydroxy flavanone-3-β-0-glcside, astra-galin, quercitrim are isolated from the plant for the first time. F-lavone glycoside and diterpenoids-O-glc type of the compounds are isolated from the plant for the first time. We also used GC-MS to analyze the constituents of the essen-tial oil from the tuber of the plant,finding out 17 compounds。...
