Now, the cracking of theory and model in pre-split blasting not enough and perfect, cannot analyze better the process of the cracking of rock in pre-split blasting. People much adopt the empirical formula to design with guide the construction in the engineering practices. However, the crack of rock in pre-split blasting is relevant to kind, geology, explosive and drill's distance, can hardly express each factor. So result in the rock to explain the process of crack, and the empirical formula can hardly expanded.As a kind of intelligence technique, neural network has already been used in identification model, perception science, artificial intelligence and option. In the last few years, people have acquired better knowledge in estimating the result of blasting and the peak of vibration in blasting.With Artificial Neural Network to consider affecting the rock to crack in pre-split blasting, people have established the calculation of intelligence model system which can predict and forecast the result and overcome the lack of the theory, model and empirical formula. The system has very great realistic meaning in designing and guiding actual engineering. With the rock's crack in pre-split blasting as the studied object, the reason of crack of mineral and rock in pre-split blasting and the parameter design are studied in the paper. At first, the author has analyzed the theory, mechanism and shock-absorption in pre-split blasting, studied the rising of crack, expanding and stopping, and did various factors which influence on the crack of rock in pre-split blasting. The main factors have been determined to be the strength of mineral and rock, the diameter of drill, the type of explosive and the growth degree of crack.Then, the author has researched BP neural networks' work principle, structure and defectiveness. A model of modified BP neural networks has been established in order to identify the crack of rock in the parameter design in pre-split blasting.An intelligent system of the parameter design has been built in program language of MATLAB 6.5. The system mentioned above makes the automation of parameter design available. And it has been proved by practice.That method in practice is a kind of intelligence with no line ration. It has comparison in the engineering, and again dissolved the interference of the artificial judgment. So the design is more reliable.
