The helix loader and plough, the key part of the HSB, are the search object of this paper. This paper study some main parameters of loader which is about the loading quantity of coal and plough which is about method of unload coal. The principle of the loading coal was discussed in theory. The principal parameters of the loader about loading quantity of coal is confirmed such as section shape of coal, rotary speed of the screw, draught velocity. The expression of the loading quantity of coal, the minimal and maximal rotary speed of the screw, the circulation coefficient of coal flew are presented. According to the different section shapeof coal in the HSB, math model which discharge speed of plough was built and method was made certain. Based on the analogy theory, relation of parameters which a 1 : 2 scale loader are obtained. Measurements are made through the orthogonal test of loading quantity of coal and pull, and using the variance analysis of the test results, the important degrees of the three major factors affecting the loading quantity of coal and pull, their optimum match scheme and reasonable range of values are acquired.
