Research On Knowledge-based Integrated System Of Injection Molding CAD/CAE

Some higher demands such as high quality, high precision, short time of R&D and so on were put forward since the rapid development of plastic industry, whether they can adapt to these requirements has becoming an important factor for the development of molding producer. The application of CAD and CAE greatly promote the development of molding industry in our country.After analyzing the integrated researching actuality of CAD/CAE inside and outside our country, a knowledge-based system of injection molding CAD/CAE is brought forward in this paper, in other words, you can use the knowledge storing in the knowledge-data-base to reasoning the design of molding CAD and the analysis of CAE, and offer reference for the user to reach the purpose of optimize design.The works of this paper are as follow:1,Based on the knowledge storing in the data-base, built on the platform of Pro/Engineer and it's parametric function based on feature and solid and the second development tool of Pro/Program, a knowledge-based graphics library of standard mold base and it's frequently used components & standard parts of injection molding are established.2,Based on the knowledge storing in the data-base and the function offered by Pro/Engineer to do the research of how to quickly build the parting surface.3,Set up the process condition and knowledge-parameters of gating, runner, cooling line by using the knowledge storing in the data-base.4,Based on the finite element, using C-Mold to analyse the part, and change the project to compare them, then change some parameters and you will get the optimized one.The work of this paper lay a definite foundation for the further integration of knowledge-based CAD/CAE system of injection mould, and also used as a valuable reference for the second development of injection mould design on general CAD/CAE system.
