In the production of small continuous-rolling bar, enacting rolling deformational schedule and roll-pass design are very important. With the utilization and popularization of computer technology, rolling engineers can carry out the optimal design of rolling deformational schedule, which would resolve or improve the problems in production such as productivity, energy consumption, the balance of rolling load. On the basis of gathering the spot data of continuous-rolling bar plant of Ezhou iron and steel(group) company, the optimal calculation of bar rolling deformational schedule and the roll-pass design are carried out. And the software of small continuous-rolling bar technology optimization is provided, which have great significance in guiding production and enacting optimal rolling deformational schedule and choosing the roll-pass parameters.The main work in this paper can be summarized as following:1. Selection and Revision of mathematical model.2. Optimize the spot roll-pass system and rolling deformational schedule aimed at smallest energy consumption and the balance of the rolling load by different optimal methods.3. Establish optimal design software.An intelligent optimal method that is named as Genetic Algorithm is firstly put forward in the optimal calculation of rolling schedule of section steel in this paper. And the optimal thinking and specific executive parameters are provided. The software of small continuous-rolling bar technology optimization adopts Visual Basic 6.0 and Access database, replacing the traditional calculation of enacting rolling schedule and selecting roll-pass parameters by experience. This not only can save time and manpower, increase data precision and less error, but also has commonality and wide scope of application. The combination between VB and AutoCAD by ActiveX Control module can realize the parameterization drawing of roll-pass system.
