Following the research work that has already been done by foreigners and basing on the situation of our country, we choosed the carburetor and EFI+TWC vehicles from Zhengzhou and Haerbin city of China then tested their exhaust performance buring with E10 motor ethanol gasoline and regular unleaded gasoline including instant and synthetical influence.Instant influence refers to the exhaust emission performance of a light-duty vehicle which burns with regular unleaded gasoline when changing to E10 motor ethanol gasoline. Synthetical influence points to the exhaust emission performance, injector flow-rate loss and air intake valve deposit which indirectly influence the exhaust emission performance of a light-duty vehicle burning with E10 Motor Ethanol Gasoline running for a long time. We tested the flow-rate of injectors and deposit of air intake valve and gained the data before and after light-duty vehicles running about 12,000 kilometers burning with E10 motor ethanol gasoline and regular unleaded gasoline respectively on ASNU-01 flow-rate testing system and analysis balance. At the same time the exhaust testing procedure for the whole light-duty vehicle of Europe namely ECE+EUDC driving cycle for light duty vehicle has been adopted to examine the exhaust emissions from carburetor vehicles operating on regular unleaded and E10 gasoline so that we can make a comparision of these two fuels. Exhaust emissions of electric fuel insufflation vehicles equipped with different kinds of catalytic converter burning with the two fuels mentioned has also been checked.Test results showed that compared with regular unleaded gasoline, motor ethanol gasoline has the flowing properties: (1) It has unconspicuous effect on arousing injectors jam; (2) operating on it can produce more deposit on air intake valve of electric fuel insufflation vehicles; (3) No matter what kind of vehicles when changing to E10 motor ethanol gasoline, the exhaust emissions of CO and HC has decreased at about 30%, while NOx has decreased at about 3%; (4) The three main exhaust pollutants from electric fuel insufflation vehicles with TWC have distinctly decreased; (5) Engine-out emissions of both electric fuel insufflation and carburetor vehicles has a slower increasing velocity after running on E10 motor ethanol gasoline for about12,000 kilometers; (6) As far as electric fuel insufflation vehicles are concerned when operating on E10 motor ethanol gasoline running about 12,000 kilometers the aging speed of TWC is slower.
