The output of coke is sixty million tons per year, and the estimated value is twenty-five billion RMB accounting for 13-15 per cent of GDP in Shanxi Province. So coke manufacturing is one of the pivotal in the economic infrastructure in Shanxi. However, coke manufacturing pollutes the ecosphere extremely and threatens the local environment. This study of cokemaking clean technology is carried on to control air pollutant emission in the procedure of cokemaking. The data source of pollutant emission in this study is collected from sampling in several cokemaking plants of SX Province, and also, the standard of the cleaner product in those plants is considerably involved, so that it is evident that the effective measurement to control pollution is the enlargement, which means many small cokemaking factories need to be combined into large-scale enterprise or enlarge their productivity. Furthermore, the other important measurement to control pollution is to use the newer produce technology and improve resource utilization. This study upgrades the cokemaking property structure in TianChiDian village in LouFan country is an example of these. This study compares the by-product coke producer to the non-recovery coke producer in three necessary factors---technique, environment and economy. In the aspect of technology, two kinds of producers are all mature and full-developed. In economic efficiency, the latter has less investment, less running cost and less income which are about 50%, 60% and 79%. In environment,the latter has no waste water and less atmosphere pollutant emission, it is evident that the non-recovery producer has many advantages compared with by-product producer. So that it is more suitable to the region where the gas is not available and the environment is sensitive. It also compares the coke dry quenching with the wet quenching. The grain substance emission of two techniques has almost no difference and the investment or the running cost of the dry-quenching producer's is 6 times or 2.6 times of the wet-quenching producer's, while the former can gain some recycled heat energy. But the dry-quenching produce system is not suitable to be used at present because it is more complex and has more economical cost. The ram coking is economical because it uses 21% thin coal and spends 85% cost. Furthermore, this study recommends some clean technology in effect and sum of air pollution control.In the opinion of ecosphere industry, multiple manufactures are proposed, whose property and scale are adaptive to the cokemaking plants, such as electric powering, constructive resources, steel, food , medical treatment, chemistry, etc.
