In this paper, the cationic PAM was carried out by the technology of inverse emulsion polymerization. Used cationic monomer were DMDAAC and DMC.In the preface, the virtue, mechanism and research progress of emulsion polymerization are generalized in all aspects. On the other hand, much attention are paid to the syntheses and refine of monomer AM, the syntheses of cationic polyacrylamides, the preparative approach of cationic polymer, application and market demands and prediction. The effects on polymerization were discussed. The inverse emulsion copolymerization of dimethyldiallylammonium chloride - acryl amide was carried out using paraffin liquid as oil-phase medium, Span 80/Tween 80 as emulsifying agent. The effect of the ratio of oil-phase to aqueous-phase on the stability of inverse emulsion was studied. The effects of some factors, such as monomer ration, initiator concentration, pH value, monomer concentration, reaction temperature, emulsion concentration on the specific viscosity and molecular weight was studied. By orthogonal experimental design, the concentration of monomer, the pH value, the temperature of polymerization, the whisk speed were discussed. The premium technological parameter in acrylamide polymerization is confirmed.ratio of oil-phase to aqueous-phase : 1.2 : 1...
