| The die-casting mould is an important equipment by which die-castings can be produced and its stripping mechanism is the executive one which can ejects the castings from the molding components. Whether the design of the stripping mechanism is correct will bring about the key influence on the moulds' eligibility and favoring production as well as the shape and size and skin quality of die-castings. Because its design is a system engineering, during which the devisor need inquire about enormous parametric data, calculate and check up many design data, draw large numbers of drawings, the schedule of moulds design will be postponed and the veracity of the mould is going to be affected if the design only depends on traditionary methods. After analysizing about the makeup of stripping mechanism for die-cast moulds, we find out that its structure is comparatively changeless and components in use has already been standardized so that the devisors are able to look for these main standard parametric data from tables. Therefore, we are capable of developing the CAD system with parametrized drawing functions to aid the design of stripping mechanism for die-cast moulds, in the way, the devisors can get rid of these fussy workloads mentioned above, the work intension will be greatly alleviated, the design schedule can be shorten and the reliability of the result can be improved.According to regulations acquiring from Die-cast Mould Design Manual, theauthor in the paper has put forward the general project of stripping mechanism for die-cast moulds by Computer-aided Design and the design thoughtways of the software structure of CAD system and developed the CAD System of Stripping Mechanism for Die-cast Mould Based on ObjectARX2000 after systematically analyzing and studying the basic demands and technological gists of the design of die-cast moulds and its stripping mechanism. As a result of adopting object-oriented programming techniques and parametrization technologies to program drawing programmes, the CAD system is able to automatically finish a series of works during designs of the stripping mechanism for die-cast mould such as structure design, computing and checking, drawing, size and tolerance dimension, labelling tolerance of the shape and location as well as text style dimension and so on if only devisors finish inputting or selecting parametric data according to the user interfaces' prompts. Thus, it can help the devisors save much hours and elevate the design efficiency and maximize the computer's application in the mould design. The CAD system is executed under Windows Operating System and based on AutoCAD2000, so users can finish the whole design through open-and-shut and friendly interfaces. Softwares has been developed by modularization technologies and using ObjectARX2000 and Microsoft Visual C++6.0. At the same time, various databases are established and managed by Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0, topology datas are dynamically linked and stored by ODBC technologies and the approach of information transmission which is set up by introducing the linking means of Microsoft Visual C++6.0 between AutoCAD2000 and Microsoft Visual FoxPro 6.0 has realized data communions on the operation platform. In addition, softwares have also presented some Expert System concepts and knowledge and made the CAD system possess intelligent functions.It is shown that the developer can sufficiently utilize Windows resources and MFC as well as visual programming environments to build parametrized drawing libraries and make visualized design of dialog boxes and greatly raise the efficiency of programming softwares when developing CAD system on the AutoCAD2000 by using ObjectARX2000 and Microsoft Visual C++6.0. The CAD System of StrippingMechanism for Die-cast Mould developed by the author can help users with both design and drawing.
