At present,driven by the high-tech and pillar industries,plastic as an important new industrial material has been more widely used in daily life.Subsequently,injection mould has also been considerable concerned.But the traditional mould design technology have been far from satisfying the needs of industrialization either accuracy or efficiency.So the emergence of new intelligent technology-parametric design method just to fill this vacancy, get through the bottleneck of the mould design and make the product with higher accuracy,consistency and complexity.Gear as the most widely used part in mechanical transmission,took up quite a proportion of plastic production.In order to regulate the standard of the helical gear injection mould design process and optimize the injection mould's structure,this paper analysed the plastic nature,the process of injection moulding, moulding technology,the structure of involuting cylindrical gear and the characteristics of mould design in detail,it designed a set of rotary launched injecting mechanism for drive helical gear with satisfactory performance and introduce the structural design method of the main components.This paper used the methods of the MFC dialog technology, Pro/TOOLKIT development tool and Access2003 database under the VC++6.0 build-essential to establish an intelligent CAD system of gear injection mould base on Pro/E.The system had a friendly interface and a strong visibility, users in all various professional levels can operate the system.This paper mainly did an overall regulation aimed at the CAD system of gear injection mould.It constructed nine modules, including the system of gear parametric design,injection moulding machine selection system,parametric design of forming system,parametric design of supporting system,parametric design of ejecting system,parametric design of gating system,parametric design of other auxiliary systems,mold assembly diagram and the check of the injection machine.In addition,this paper used the method of setting parameters and establishing relations in Pro/E to drive the size of parts,and called external variables to achieve the parameters'transmission of each module.Thus,this system with a decrease of design parameters could make the dialog box interface of the whole system simple, clear and user-friendly.Through learning and mastering the using and establishing methods of Pro/E software,VC++6.0 compiler,Access2003 database tables,the visual interface of MFC dialog,ODBC accessing database technologies and C++ language,this paper solved these technologies'problem of communication and interface,so as to ensure that system can add the dialog in the Pro/E menu,use the database table to manage the standard module,call the three-dimensional model of parts,regulate the size of the various parts and generate the final mould assembly diagram successfully.
