The pigment is as the fundamental chemical industry material and important additive. There is extensive project application in the chemical industry. The painted performance can be reflected by the dispersibility of pigment. Based on Germany DIN13900 standard, the dispersibility of pigment can be judged by the increase pressure value indirectly. And there is not pressure test equipment of the pigment that is independent intellectual property right at home at present. Because of this, we have carried on research and design on the pressure test system of pigment (hereafter referred to as the test system). It is mainly that apply the popular configuration software to the test system to realize to monitor and control the test system.Based on studying the component and principle of the test system, it has been proved and confirmed that it is a good way to adopt industrial control computer (IPC) to control the system. Through designing the corresponding hardware circuit and working out the controlling software, the function was realized. Hardware circuit design included analog input-output channels, switch output channel and relevant choice of hardware, including the sensors, frequency converter, data acquisition card, and etc. The development of the software was introduced and the program was worked out in detail in the paper. Finally, the systematic anti-interference measure was studied and designed. The system was tested through the material test on the spot and has verified the feasibility of this scheme. The pressure value of pigment can be tested by the test system accurately and quickly. It offered the new test method for the dispersibility of pigment, and offered the test data for export of the pigment. This test system has created great economic benefits in production practices.
