The mast is one of the most important structures of drilling rig. Owing to it is made of many beams, and stands complex force, the finite element analysis is an important step in mast design. Along with the increasing of drilling rig types and the expansion of production scale in our company, analysis and calculation to mast of drilling rig is more and more becoming an important design task. Traditional calculation method of mast isvery complex, and always expends a long time, and has a big error. Ziri CAE------ A kindof calculating software was intrduced into Our Company.The thesis expatiates on a new method about calculating mast. The main process is: setting up of calculating model in MDT3.0; discussion about the loads and the restriction on the mast; finite element static analysis in Ziri CAE to JJ225/43-K mast in four typical states which is raising, drilling, no pipe setback and no hock load and wind load, full pipe setback and no hock load and wind load~[3].This thesis sets up calculating model in MDT3.0 and carrirs out finite element static analysis to JJ225/43-K mast, with the result that checking the static intensity and Stability of the mast is completed.
