Study On Shaping Design And Modelization Of Bending Wood Furniture

With social development and improvement of science and technology, the appearance of furniture needs to be of variety, because of the changes took place in people's consumption ideas and sense of beauty. To much extent, furniture reflects every respect of one specific age in history, such as its social background, politics, economy, culture, science and technology, customs and mores as well as the ideas of the ruling class, therefore each age, the style of furniture is influenced by its local social culture. Researches on the typical furniture's styles and analysis on the shaping characters of its bending units are helpful to our better designing bending wood furnitures. When we go in for the design for bending wood furnitures, it is necessary to consider functions, appearance and physical technologies as a whole. Furthermore, we can employ rational, emotional and traditional methods in shape-design. Hues of furniture always enriches its appearance and emphasizes its function. When working on the hues' design , we'd better take full consideration about whether it will match the characters of bending furniture, such as liveliness, briskness, softness, linear smoothness and floating. Nowadays, consumers' personal requirements, consumption classifying and market complexity form the general trend of furniture-made-by-order in large scale. To tackle the connection of bending furniture's spare parts and units is the most important procedure in its modelization design. This article includes: firstly, modelization design in bending furniture will be put in 5 categories of methods according to stages of production; secondly, emphasis is put on the point that standardization is the premise for realizing modelization design; thirdly, explication of the standardization related contents in modelization design and using examples to show the methods of modelization design in bending furniture.
