The paper mainly has done work as follows:(1) Indictors system of urban ecosystem were established in Urumqi from structure, function andcoordination. Analytic hierarchy process(AHP) was used for constructing mathematics model.(2)Beijing,Shanghai,Xi'an,Lanzhou,Urumqi six cities'data were collected .comprehensiveevaluation method was used to respectively calculate values of third,second,first grade index andecological comprehensive index .and evaluated ecological degree of the six cities.(3) 1996-2000 yearscorrelation data of Urumqi was collected and went deep to analyse from vertical.
