Study On Water Resource Carrying Capacity In Bosten Lake Basin

Along with the increasing of population and the developing of economy, the contradiction between the regional carrying capacity and social demand of water resource is coming into intensified in our country. It is more serious in drought areas. Both water deficiency and pollution have resulted in ecological degradation and environmental problems. How to rationally distribute the agricultural water, consumption of industrial water, domestic water and water demand of eco-system in Bosten Lake Basin? In this paper, regional water resource carrying capacity is analyzed and studied in order to resolve this problem. In addition, it also can offer scientific gist for ecological protection and sustainable development of water resource.The system of water resource carrying capacity is a complicated huge system, which includes society, economic and ecological environmental resources. For this reason, it belongs to sustainable development. Therefore, its research should consider the relation among water resource, social economic development, ecological environment and other resources. This thesis used multi-objective decision-making model to study water resource carrying capacity in this Basin. On the basis of analyzing function mechanism among sub-systems, target variables, decision-making variables and their functions among those variables were given. A multi-objective decision-making model was set up. By the running of the model, indexes of water resource carrying capacity were forecasted in the future.
