So far, the countries all over the world have already developed a large number of practical expert systems in a lot of fields.The steel-making of the BOF is a complicated refection. The key craft of steel-making is the slag making. But it is very complicated that the refection of BOF steel-making. It is very difficult to built accurate model. The control of BOF steel-making is difficult to solve with the classic control theory. And the real-time measuring of the composition is a difficult problem in the stove. The scholars work out a theory of computing the slag making situation in the BOF through measuring the yawp over BOF. This theory carries on a lot of new methods in BOF steel-making. This thesis is basic on the theory of Expert System and analyses to the slag making course of the BOF. It brings up the theory of the Expert System used in BOF lance poison control. The author designs the Expert System based on the experience in designing automatic system of BOF and the software of Expert System. The author forms a solution of transforming the existing BOF system into the Expert System based BOF lance position.
