There is a tremendous activity these years in the area of inorganic-organic hybrid materials because of their diversified structures and interesting properties, which endows these materials with applications to sorption, catalysis, electrical conductivity and solar energy conversion. In this paper, there are three main parts. The first is to synthesize new inorganic-organic hybrid materials [Co(C4H4N2)(VO3)2]n,by using Fe( II ), Co(II), Cu(I), Cu(II), Ni(II), Ag(I), Mn(II), Zr(IV) as templating, 5-formyl-8-qumolinol, 4,4'-bipyridine, pyrazine, 1,2-bis(4-pyridyl)ethane as building blocks, and ammonium metavanadate (NH4VO3) as subordinate building blocks by hydrothermal methods. The second is to determine crystal structure and property of the compound. The result is that the compound belongs to orthorhombic crystal system, and Pnna space group, crystal data: a = 10.188(2)A, α= 90°, b = 11.497(2)A, β= 90°, c =...
