The computer-aided safety assessment is a main study field for most scholars nowadays. For manual safety assessment is of low data precision, low speed and complex assessment operation, and it is time consuming, high cost, realizing computer-aided safety assessment has become an urgent problem to solve.Bringing SDG technology into all kinds of safety assessments has become an important study orientation for the automation of the safety assessment methods. Especially for HAZOP, both SDG and HAZOP use the schemes of bi-directional reasoning, so SDG is the most effective method to complete the automation of HAZOP. We collect the information of abnormal causes and adverse consequence, which are required in HAZOP analysis. And we design and implement the computer-aided HAZOP failure mode system. In this paper we introduce the relationship between the method of SDG modeling and all kinds of safety assessment methods in detail. And there is a schematic introduction about the SDG reasoning engine which is developed by out laboratory. We also bring forward the idea of making the node of abnormal caused in the SDG-HAZOP modeling into SDG model. In the part of software system design, this paper first introduces the method of modeling software system using the Unified Modeling Language, which emphasis on some examples of user case chart and activity chart. Then we introduce the process of constructing software system using OOP method.
