Research And Development Of Product Structure Management For The Injection Mold PDM System

PDM is a new management thought and technique .It can be defined as a technology, which based on software technique, regarding product as the core, and realizing whole management on the related data, process, resources in product. Relied on the IT technique, it is a valid and optimized management method in enterprises, and is an outcome of scientific management frame combined with realistic problem in enterprises. It is also a kind of product when computer technique combined together with corporate culture. How to utilize PDM technology effectively to upgrade the modernization management level of the die&mould enterprises and enhance the competition capacity with the information technology has been the main trend of the die&mould enterprises for pursuing the development.The dissertation focusing on Product Structure Management gives a particular expatiation of PSM's conception , method of development and correlative technology. Combined with characteristics of die&mould enterprises manufacture, the important technologies of implement for injection mold PSM are proposed. Based on these technologies, the research subject classifies the injection mold parts according to function, structure and process features of the injection mold parts. On the basis of the categories and the design process of the injection mold parts, the product structure tree model of the injection mold is constructed by analyzing the construction process of the injection mold product structure. Through the research on the information model of the injection mold parts, each node in the product structure tree of the injection mold is added with correlative information and with the product structure information model advanced, the architecture model of the PSM system for injection mold is almost constructed, the model is a basis of the effective management of injection mold product structure and its correlative complicated information. According to the requirement of PSM system implement and its function, the method of establishing product structure tree automatically, various BOM view management of product structure and the integration with CAx software in design department have been explored.Finally, the PSM system for the injection mold PDM which applies the above theories has been developed. The process of programming and an example are introduced in the paper.
