Implementation Of A CAD System For Metal Container Drawing Mould Based On ObjectARX

CAD technique is widely used in the field of die and mould, but for many reasons, the technique hasn't played its role fully. It will be very important for promoting the mould industry to strengthen the study in mould CAD.This paper proposes a method of developing a mould CAD system based on national standard in AutoCAD platform, mainly deal with the part of stamping design. The system has the functions of putting in stamping part's drawing, calculating and designing the technology, designing the structure of die, generating assembly drawing. The paper discusses the main idea of design, the key technique and the specific algorism.Based on the investigation of the current structure of mould and the mould design property, the paper firstly present a system structure of mould CAD system, and then according to the part of die CAD, it diagnose the functions and divides the system into modules. In order to accomplish the functions, the paper proposes a method of describing the part's drawing and die structure. Using this method, the system can successfully access the part's processing parameter and its model number, design the technology, and calculate the mould parameter and then output it, and generate the assembly die drawing. The paper also uses the parametric technique successfully, combining program driving with dimension driving, accomplishes the description and quick save of the standard components in common use.
