The steel structure is not fireproofing, many methods may carry on the fire protection to it. At present the most economical convenience method is spreading fire protection coating to the steel structure. The inorganic ingredient occupies the most water borne steel structure fire proofing coating is one of optimal methods. The water borne steel structure fire protection coating is the new technology that is developed by Sichuan Fire Research Institute of Public Security Ministry. Because its price is inexpensive, it only stirs in the scene water when construction, and does not need the skilis. It does not have any pollution product in the production and the a process. It is also one kind of environmental friendly fire proofing coatings for steel structure. However the addition of water brings the difficulty, namely the question of water ices up. Especially when construction in winter, climate specially cold, outside the temperature below zero degree Celsius, the new constructed fire proofing coating is all easy to ruin by freezing. The coating once receives freeze, the bonding of the coating to the steel structure reduces greatly. Hence, the freezing and thawing, the spatial drum, and the dehiscence may appear. The coating may fall off the steel structure.In order to prevent the water borne fire proofing coating for steel structure from falling off in winter construction, the article unifies the practical application situation and fire protection measures for the steel structure, and proposed the fire proofing coating is one of best protection methods for steel structure. The question of water borne fireproofing coating for steel structure does not bear the frozen is discovered when application. After systematically studied the water characteristics, the present frostproofing theory and its components, the article then studies the influences of negative temperature to the physics and chemistry performances of the coating. The article uses the related concrete antifreeze theory, and fully considered the steel structure is easy corrodes. The antifreeze is originally developed which is suitable to construction in winter from massive experiments. These antifreeze has frostproofing, early strong, guards against rust, etc.This article first proposed using the chemical bond to bond the fire proofing coating and anti-corrosive coating firmly. The inorganic ingredient occupies the superiority of the fire proofing coating while the organic ingredient occupies the least. But anti-corrosive coating has much organic ingredient.
