Based on the analysis of the status quo of both domestic and abroad steel bar cuttingmachine, synthesized the schemes of existing hydraulic systems, guided by the hydraulicresistance theory, this dissertation designs a new kind of electromechanical high-speedsteel bar cutter. This system has a series of merits like simpler loop, lower power loss,bigger instantaneous delivery, faster responses, more reliable control.More over, the article analyses the relationship of the parameter of motion, structuralparameter, effective system working pressure, flux and load, the method of parameterselection of enter and out oil of accumulator, and cartridge valve's pressure-flowcharacteristic. Besides, the paper works over the influencing factor on static characteristicindexes such as velocity rigidity, power characteristic. All of these give references to thedesign of the model machine. Founding on the establishment of dynamic characteristics of three key componentsaccumulator, cartridge valve and power element, the author sets up stroke and return shornsystems' mathematic model with the different traits of rush and return action.Simultaneously by using Matlab/Simulink analysis & simulation software, constructscorresponding simulation model and get the regularity about the cutter motion. Finallyaccording to the emulation result, the paper analyses how the pressure in air chamber ofaccumulators and effective system working pressure , especially the responding time,impact the dynamic characteristics of the high-speed steel bar cutter. These offer reliablebasis for experimental study.Relies on the research mentioned above, a prototype has been made. Then a lot ofexperiments have been done. And use the Dspace soft hardware integrated system torealize on-line real-time control, parameter adjustment, and data acquisition. The responsecurves of under different gas chamber's pressure, different effective system workingpressure, the press response of the chamber which lies ahead of the cartridge valve and thedisplacement response of piston are got. The results of the theory and simulation are testedand verified by experimental study. According to the outcome collected from theexperiment, the simulation results meet experimental ones. So the validity of systemmodel and the feasibility of the manufactured prototype are proved, the expected purposeof the prototype experiment are achieved.
