As outcome of computer science integrated with mould engineering, mould CAD/CAM is a key technology which can accelerate scientific research and transformation of production, make mould designing and manufacturing automatically and expedite mould industry.lt is a technique which can improve product designing, shorten the time of developing new product, improve productivity, save the costing of production. To make overseas software be fit to our mould production, secondary development on the commercial CAD/CAM software is an important task which we must face to on generalizing and using mould CAD/CAM in domestic.Pro/Engingeer is a widly used mould CAD/CAM software. Take it for studying object, With analysis of the development interfaces of Pro/Engingeer and make comparison for characteristic of Family Table, UDF, Program, J-link, Pro/Toolkit, the paper did reserch on methods of sencondary development by Pro/Toolkit, such as Pro/Toolkit's work mode, designing menu and User Interface Dialog Boxes. The way of Creating application of Pro/Toolkit as well as implement of information transformation mechanism between Pro/E and MFC are studied.Second, the paper put much emphasis on parametric design technology of three dimensional solid, the technique of dimension driven and modificating planar drawing view automatically has come true by compiling C programs that Pro/Toolkit provides.Finally, In this thesis, detailed described the key technology of develop Pro/Toolkit's application by visual C ++ based on Windows, analyzed function, usage and meaning of co mmon functions, and provided created process and program arithmetic of application frame, register file, menu, sketch and common features. Under the development environment of PRO/E, based on the technology of characteristic and parametric modeling , The user's mutual interfaces are developed for the main figure parameters of the standard part of die-casting mould. Through modifying parameters, die-casting mould parts are generated automatically. As a result, the efficiency of die- casting mould design is improved greatly.
