Welding fixture is one of the necessary equipments in welding process and production and plays an important role in ensuring welding quality, improving manufacture efficiency and easing intensity of welding-workers. And the conventional manual way taken to design Welding fixture during the past has long period and low in efficiency, it cannot adapt to the demands of the development of contemporary welding technology and satisfied to the requirement of the diverse demands of the market and the diversification and rapid manufacture of the production. So, the author keeps at the study and development of the software packages of WFCAD (Welding Fixtrue Compute Adied Design) along the steps of former with excellent computer technology and computer software.The author builds WFCAD on the operation of windows2000 and the figure-uphold software Pro/Engineer 2001 and programs in the VC6. 0++ software development environment with the language-package Pro/Toolkit provided by the Pro/Engineer 2001. Function modules of the software are separated according to the welding fixture' s design procedure. The Design module and part of the Result-check module and the DataManage module is built aims at the design of lever-gemel clamping mechanism. The author also built the project database and the figure database of the package to realize the manage of the data. The author design about 20 dialogs in the package' s interface to guide the user.All the work that the author has done is not all of the work of ffFCAD and there is still much to do for the follower to accomplish the work.
