Study On The Recycling Use Of The Dismantled Solid Wastes And Its Environmental Impacts

In recent years, along with short of the global mineral resources and cry out for environmental treatment, many countries especially the western developed countries are trying to build circular societies. It not only decreases environmental pollution, but also increases the repeated use of diminishing resources. From the point of view of environmental protection and ecological environment, recycling resources have already becomes one of the integral part in environment protection industry. There into dismantling of solid wastes reclamation industry is growing up in recent times. In order to recognize the environmental problems arisen by this dismantling industry and provide the base for healthy developing of the industry, the present situation of dismantling industry at Luqiao area TaiZhou city was investigated in detail, and was analyzed from the aspects of social, ecological and environmental cost and benefit, however the environmental impact is the emphasis of this study. At last, from the point of view of circular economy, developed model of solid wastes dismantling industry is discussed, and a series of suggestions are put forward. Conclusions arrived are as follows,1. Considering the present situation in solid wastes reclamation and the industry of colored metal manufacture all over the world, and especially the present situation of the solid wastes dismantling industry at Luqiao area in TaiZhou city, it is necessary to let this kind of the industry to continue and develop, but need to have monitoring and control mechanism.2. During the environmental analysis, it is found that the quality of aquatic environment is considerably deteriorated, and surface water has failed to meet IV standard. After the integrated renovation, the monitoringoutcomes of the characteristic contaminants such as Pb and petroleum ect, are better in the year 2004 than those in the year 2003. Air quality of this area attained the II standard, and noise pollution was not very serious yet. 3.The contaninats and amount of environmental pollution resulted in the course of dismantling solid wastes at Luqiao area TaiZhou city are as follows.(1) Air pollution The characteristic contaminants in small scale dismantling industry are benzene and total hydrocarbon. The amount of benzene and total hydrocarbon in dismantling 1 ton of different products are shown below. Benzene: deposed engines: 122.0mg, deposed hardware(body of machine): 61.4mg, deposed hardware(box shell): 9.0mg, decomposed wire and cable: 398.7mg, decomposed iron wire: 147.7mg; Total hydrocarbon: deposed engines: 632.4mg, deposed hardware(body of machine): 318.3mg, deposed hardware(box shell): 46.77mg, decomposed wire and cable: 2066.6mg, decomposed iron wire: 765.6mg; gas pollutants produced by incineration basically can attain the standard except carbon monoxide.(2) Water pollution The water pollution created by naphthalin in dismantling 1 ton of different products is given below. Deposed engines: 0.186mg, deposed hardware (body of machine): 0.186mg, deposed hardware (box shell): 0.156mg.(3)Dismantled garbage A dismantling of 1 ton of different products results 50kg solid garbage. After reusing, 3/5 of the solid garbage will come into landfill. Characteristic contaminating factors include COD_Cr, Oil, Cu, Zn, Pb, Ni etc, and all of them can be concentrated, collected and treated.4. Through the investigation and analysis of the contamination created, the industries correlated with dismantling like the acidic washing and small melting which are easy to produce pollution incidents have influence on the local environment.5. Through the investigation and analysis of consciousness of thegeneral public, most of them like to keep the dismantling industry, for the development of other local industry which depends on the dismantling Industry.6. New model for the dismantling industry is put forward giving more emphasis on the recycling the resources. First the law should be strengthened. Secondly new policies should be introduced. Thirdly an accomplished industrial management should be followed, and finally, more attention should be paid on the environmental protection and to safeguard the public health.
