Study On FC Two Stroke Gasoline Engine Oil

With continuous development of two-stroke gasoline engine and restriction on fuelemission, several specification of two-stroke gasoline engine oil have been formed.Thespecification of two-stroke gasoline engine oil will gradually match JASO and ISO. In China,in order to keep the rapid development of motorcycle industry, to improve the performance ofmotorcycle and to carry out specification of emission, two-stroke gasoline engine fuel withgood performance of detergency, lubrication, emission and anti-jam, is urgently required.Based on JASO FC specification ,Chinese Standard of Petrol and Chemical Industry ofAir-cooling Two-stroke gasoline engine fuel has been established. So, it is very important todevelop FC two-stroke gasoline engine oil.In this paper, the development of two-stroke gasoline engine oil and its specification, thetendency of two-stroke gasoline engine oil were briefly introduced. Based on the practice ofJinxi Company of Petrol China, FC two-stroke gasoline engine oil was studied.Byinvestigating the compatibility of base oil, poly isobutene, diluents and additives, FCtwo-stroke gasoline engine oil was made from base oil (HVI150 and HVI650,produced byDaqing, poly isobutene with low molecular weight), diluents (kerosene, 0#diesel oil) andmetallic detergent, ashless dispersant.The result of engine bench and physic-chemical performance showed that allindexes(detergency, lubrication, initial torsion, vessel skirt paint film, smoke emission andanti-jam of exhaust system) can meet the specification of industry standard for FC two-strokegasoline engine oil (SH/T0675-1999).The successful development and application of this oil will extend the life of engine andreduce the emission,which will be meet the industry standard with social and economicalbenefits.
