| Fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) is engineering plastic with good performance. With the requirement raising in recent years, kinds of FEP productions have been developed. Thereinto, FEP resin which covers wire and cable will be colored. By way of FEP color masterbatch, colored FEP with good performance can be produced. In this paper, the preparation of FEP color masterbatch has been investigated. The matrix resin, pigments, dispersants and the equipments for preparation of FEP masterbatch were discussed. The application of FEP masterbatch has been studied. FEP masterbatch coloring and pigment directly coloring were compared.The component and ratio of matrix, pigment and dispersant in FEP color masterbatch were decided by means of TG, DSC, spectrometer and SEM. The matrix is FEP power(MFI=4.5-8.5g/10min). The pigments are inorganic pigments, which can exist over 380 ℃. The dispersant is dispersant D (Tm=204℃, Td=427℃).
