Sense & Control Technology Research On Underwater Diamond Wire Saw

The underwater diamond wire saw for cutting the seabed oil and gas pipelines has the advantages of 1) adapting the seabed work circumstances, 2) cutting any metallic or nonmetallic materials as well as composite materials in a single operation. The cutting speed of the diamond wire saw is faster than that of oxy-arc cutting. Compared with explosives, it cuts cleanlier and poses no risks to the Personnel and the environment.The research works are supported by the subproject "Underwater special machinery equipments" of the project " Underwater backbone dry pipeline maintenance systems" which belongs to the special topic "Seabed pipeline restoration technologies" of the national "863" project important special items "Bohai big oilfields exploration and exploitation key technologies". In the paper the machine body is introduced, and the sense & control system of underwater diamond wire saw are researched mainly.In the paper the whole structure and work principle are introduced, the choice of the diamond string bead wire and the design process of the tension set, the fixation set, the driving set and the cutting set are carried out in detail.The sense system includes the tension system and the position system of the diamond string bead wire. The design process of the tension system of the diamond string bead wire is carried out in detail. The selection of the position system is introduced at last.The design of the control system of underwater diamond wire saw is carried out. For the actual work request the special hydraulic pressure driving system and simple and dependable hydraulic pressure control oil way are designed.
