The theme of modern drilling engineering is lowering cost of drilling well, raising successful rate of exploring well studiously. The key to realize the theme is improving the speed of drilling well, assuring the quality of drilling well and reducing the trouble of drilling. To carry out the target of modern drilling well, closed loop control of automatic work like automobile industry and chemistry industry must be realized, that is to say, closed loop drilling well is realized, and manpower is released from drilling operation to the best of one's abilities, the various problem in the process of drilling work must be solved at all, controlled accuracy of well path and the whole economy of drilling well is improved.Research on automatic vertical drilling tool is underway phase in our country. To study and develop automatic vertical drilling tool may wonderfully finish the mission of vertical drilling in many districts where drilling well is difficult, at the same time, the cost is saved by a long way, what's more, the question of anto-deviation and drilling quickly in our country is solved. The theory and related technology of automatic vertical drilling system are studied deeply in this paper based on the item"Research on closed loop control theory and technology for downhole mechanical electro-hydraulic system of automatic vertical drilling system"from Mechanical Department of Wuhan University of Science and Technology by knowing the development and application of domestic and overseas automatic vertical drilling technology.1. According to the request and characteristic of automatic vertical drilling technology, the structure and orienting principle of automatic vertical drilling tool is analyzed. Structure and principle of hydraulic control system as its anto-deviation mechanism is introduced, and control principle and automatic control method of automatic vertical drilling control system is illuminated.2. By the way of electro-hydraulic system experimental equipment of Wuhan University of Science and Technology, downhole jet experiment is carried out, experiment result for jet experiment process is analyzed and validated by exerting jet flow field model. Lastly, numerical simulation is done by FLOTRAN model of ANSYS software.3. The whole mathematical model for switch valve is constructed based on the structure of downhole electromagnetic switch valve, and described by pass function square frame figure.4. Simulation and stability analysis for valve system model is done by MATLAB/Simulink technology, and the system is revised by ITEA rule, what's more, the result is satisfactory.
