In this article, the coiler Electro-Hydraulic servo edge position control system is designed by utilizing modern control theory design method integrated with advanced control system solution based on MATLAB and Simulink.The coiler is one of essential equipments on the strip production line .In this process, the high control performance is requested, including the quick speed of response and the high control precision. However, because unsuitability and fluctuation of the steel belt tension as well as the shape irregulation of the steel belt, there will exist some influence on precision. In the actual production, the conventional control technology has obtained the average effect. Precision , robustness and reliability of edge position control system need be improved further. This article make the research in edge position control technology by using the state feedback control theory, moreover, proposed entire ploe placement control algorithm in view of the controlled object.
