Study of this paper comes from the technical development project that auto-selected by company——"Special tungsten rods product line". The research object of this paper is the key technologic equipment——the bloomer for the special tungsten billets. This paper introduced the current technique and equipment of the bloomer for special tungsten billets, analyzed the existing problems, optimized the mechanical structure with the theory of the high rigidity and the rolling force dispersal, and designed the four-high rolling mill for the special tungsten billets. Author modeled and analyzed the mill in three-dimensional entity structure with the digitized manufacturing method. Then the key parts of the mill are analyzed for stress, displacement and rigidity by the finite element method. It is theoretically proved that, with this structure, the mill's whole rigidity is greatly improved to the traditional mill, the metallic deformations are also improved distinctly. Replace the device of rotary swaging machine, the equipment used in the tungsten billets bloom can not only produce the high-precision special tungsten rods effectively and economically, but also greatly ameliorate the worker's working condition.
