Cyclone separator is a kind of apparatus separating particles from air with the centrifugal force produced by the high swirling speed. The separator makes a feature of low cost, high efficiency and reliability. It has no motive parts and can be used under bad operating condition. It has been one hundred years since the cyclone separator was used. The technology of separating has grown up quickly in Europe and Unite states after abundant research in theory and experiments. However, our country has just step off in recent years. The stand-up tangential inlet cyclones mostly are applied in the field of industry. Whereas this work presents an axial flow cyclone separator, it is designed under the requirement of removing salt at the inlet of marine turbine. Cyclone separator separates big diameter aerosol particle and stop the splash impacting the inertia stage. Thus it can be seen that study of the cyclone has important practical value and instruction, this work gives following report mostly:1. On the basis of prototype, rebuild the structure and do numerical simulation for the single phase and two phases flow. Check the change of resistance and efficiency characteristic when altering the diameter and distance of the drainage, also the fixing degree of the vanes.2. Numerical computation had been done separately with k-ε standard model and k-ε realizable model under the same operating and boundary condition; analyze the difference of the interior flow parameters between the two models.3. Experiment the resistance and efficiency characteristic for the single cyclone separator with mini wind tunnel, validate the...
