This article investigated the method of improvement in the time-delay precision of HgS-1 booster. Through the analysis of the structure and action mechanism of HgS-1 booster, the effects of time-delay powder and igniter power on booster's properties were studied in the article. The main researches focus on the preparation of wolfram time-delay powder by chemical codeposition method,the effect of structure on the igniter power of booster and the improvement on the structure of booster.The main results were showed as following:1. The chemical codeposition method can be used to make the wolfram time-delay powder uniform in component, and then can improve its time-delay precision.2. The old structure of booster have great effect on its hermetization and igniter power, which can result in the instability of igniter power and make bad effect on the time-delay precision of booster3. The clapboard hermetic structure of booster can resolve the bad hermetic property and the instability of igniter power of booster better, and can enhance its time-delay precision greatly also.4.The technical state of HgS-1 booster have been stabilized by making certain the parameters of clapboard hermetic structure and time-delay powder, and its time-delay precision was improved also.
