In this paper, Bismaleimide(BMI) resin was modified by diamine(DDM) , epoxy resin (CYD-128) and modifying agent A.The best prescription was made certain by comparing the bend strength, impact strength and Martin heat-resistant temperature. The modified resin has its best performance when BMI/DDM is 2/1 , EP and modifying agent A is50% wt. Its bend strength is 130 MPa, impact strength is 10.4kJ/m' and Martin heat-resistant temperature is 157℃. The modifying mechanism was analyzed by infrared spectrum (IR). And the heat decompounding temperature of the resin is about 235℃ ,which is confirmed by the TGA of cured resin. The results show that the modified BMI has better mechanical performance and heat-resistance.The modified BMI as matrix, the thesis uses two kinds of glass bead(10μm 和 70μm) to fill the modified BMI to synthesize syntactic foam respectively. The mechanical and heat resistance properties of composites were investigated as function of the mass fraction and the effects of glass bead modified by coupling agent, content of coupling agent and particles size of glass bead on the mechanical and heat resistance properties of composites were studied. Discuss the role mechanism of glass beads, providing the theory of glass bead in altering quality of the modified BMI composite.Having analyzed the dispersion of particles in composites by SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy), tested the compressive mechanical properties, Martin heat resistance temperature and the coefficient of thermal expansion. The experimental results indicated that with the increasing of mass fraction of glass bead, the compressive strength decreased, and Martin heat resistance temperature increased. We can get the best results with the 10μm size of glass bead and the glass bead modified by coupling agent. The thermal expansion coefficient of material was decreased greatly when the mass fraction of glass bead increase and modified by coupling agent. Adding a few glass bead into the modified BMI decreases the water-absorption. However, with the increase of the glass bead content, the...
